Charting methodology To make the ABT-C more reasonable, fair, and transparent, the methodology adopted shall be contextualised to the African music industry and shall consider the following paramaters/factors, with some weighted while other not: The Artist/Label/Management Agency submits a song per week. IMPACT OF ABT-CHARTS The ABT Charts has significantly impacted the African music industry, providing a platform for African artists to gain international recognition and compete with global artists. The chart has also helped to promote African music and culture and has inspired a new generation of African artists to pursue music as a career.
The ABT Charts display the number of streams each song has received the percentage change in streams from the previous week and Votes from Viewers. This allows artists, labels, and industry professionals to track the performance of their songs and identify trends in the African music market
